New habits can take from 2-8 months to form....

It’s great to have goals for this year but I ask you to really think about why you want to achieve these goals.

Sadly the fitness industry and diet culture has lead us to believe that we need to be a new person each year and sell you quick fix solutions!

For one, if you don’t want to change your diet or exercise, then you don’t have to.

Second, come back to that question… why? What are you doing it for?

I train women to get strong and feel good.

Exercise has so many benefits and the mental health benefits are really important around this time of year and if you’re starting out.

You will only benefit mentally from exercise if you can imbed this into your lifestyle and form a habit. If you start off trying to achieve too much, this often ends in set backs which can be really tough to come back from which can have an bigger impact on your mental health.

Start small, manageable and achievable and work on consistency. It doesn’t matter if you mess it up a bit, embrace the process and focus on putting in those reps.

If you need some guidance on setting goals and strategies on how to stay on track get in touch.
