Looking for the next step in your postnatal exercise? Then this programme is for you. Progression is so important for building strength and fitness and we need strength to continue to lift and carry children and their bikes etc! Also muscle mass starts to decline after the age of 30 so strength training is essential to maintaining muscle let alone gaining it! Plus what a great example we can set for our children for them to see that exercise is a normal part of your life, especially women lifting weights and being strong.
If you have completed my Sets and Reps Postnatal Programme, done some postnatal rehab, at a intermediate stage of exercise, maybe not quite ready for mainstream classes, not sure what to do at the gym or just want the convenience of short home workouts this is perfect for you.
This is a self paced programme but I would recommend doing three workouts a week for maximum benefits over the 8 weeks. They are all 30mins long so really achievable. You'll receive two resistance bands through the post after purchasing the programme and you'll also need two sets of dumbbells although if you are going to continue with strength training at home I recommend getting a set of four - 4,5,6,8kg or if starting 4 and 6kg. The beauty of the programme and strength training is that repetition and consistency are key to progression so you can repeat this programme over again increasing the weights over time!
